Been eating here since 2009. Superior Mexican cuisine that outshines ALL other Mexican restaurants in San Diego. Puerto Nuevo Lobster is their signature dish. Try it with steak or a skewer of shrimp. Muy bueno!!

Looking back past 2 decades, I will say that Ortega's is in the top 3 Mexican restaurants that I have visited. Service is impeccable and the food is absolutely delicious. A must when I am in the San Diego area.

Best Mexican food in San Diego! Love the Shrimp Enchiladas and the Chicken Verde Enchiladas! Never disappointed and their tortillas are to die for.

It was our first time to this lovely little bistro. Food was fantastic! The server that we had was exceptional. We had the shrimp tacos, chicken enchiladas, a lovely salad with a grilled tomato with lots of avocado in a nice balsamic dressing. For dessert, we tried the buñuelos with fresh strawberries and cream. It was delicious. Definitely plan to return soon.

Amazing neighborhood gem. The decor inside and out are amazing. Food flavors are not too excessive and the portion sizes are just right. The brunch menu has traditional Mexican dishes and their unlimited mimosas are at a great price.

We went here for the first time over the weekend. It was a fabulous restaurant with great service, food and drinks. I will be back!

The service and ambiance were lovely. Most importantly was the quality of the food. Everything was presented beautifully with the utmost care and each bite was a welcome experience.

We were pleasantly surprised by how tasty the food is here. They offer unique and delicious interpretations on classic Mexican food. The options/variations of their margaritas were a pleasant surprise as well.

The BEST Mexican food in San Diego. It literally never disappoints. Happy Hour with the yummiest margaritas and shrimp tacos---is a must! I travel from Los Angeles and come here each time.
